Last Friday began just like any other day, until I took my morning dump in a miniature garbage can in my closet.

Yes yes, read it continuously until the gravity of the situation sets in. I was between a rock and a hard place (could it be that I finally got a phrase right?!). Initially I thought I should wait until enough time had passed so that I wouldn't have verguenza about the situation, but, as we all know, I have virtually no shame when it comes to these blogs. So, it is what it is.

I woke up to a text from my roommate which read something along the lines of our toilet being broken and that I shouldn't use it. WHAT? thats sacrilege. I proceeded with my regular routine.

As I approached the bathroom, my feet became soaked as I tip-toed in front of the bathroom door. This is not good. Our already questionable bathroom floor was covered with towels and washcloths drenched in who knows what. This is bad news.

I'm not going to get into the nitty-gritty details of the situation, but I think the first sentence explains it all. I had an interview at 8:30 that morning and was in a bit of a time crunch. I called mom to explore all possible options. Since it was 7:00 am, she and dad were worried it was an emergency, and they were right, it was.

Ultimately, I knew this was my only option, but I needed to be reassured that I wasn't some sort of barbaric creature that would later need counseling. As it turns out, this would prove to be true. But I've said it before, I'll say it again... it is what it is.

That being said, mom took off work the Friday after St. Patrick's Day. Things are about to get crazy. I cant't wait.

Until we meet again.
