As many of you know, Philo is and always will be the center of the universe. No matter how many attempts are made to defame its honor, the proclamation made by the feeble, white water tower will forever be a testament to the glory of this fine town.

That being said, I was recently confronted with the second-best opportunity to document her royal highness, since the original was demolished and replaced by a generic, new-age hopeful.

I'm fully aware of the fact that this blog is dangerously close to falling under the "mom-bashing" genre, but this point cannot be overlooked. Jules had one job, and one job only: capture, simultaneously, myself and the great white. I assumed her to be versed in the basics of digital photography, and knew better than to hand the camera over to mom unless absolutely necessary (Sorry bob!). Yet, the result was the same:

I guess some things just aren't meant to be.

A very frightening thing happened to me today.

As if I needed any reassurance that I am my mother's daughter, today it was confirmed.

I got back from class and was instantly in a bad mood. Our house was a mess. Little specks of ash coated every inch of the coffee table. Coffee stains, grease and weeks worth of food remnants doused the kitchen counters and stove. Garbage overflowed the can. I worked like a banchee for a full forty-five minutes and I'm still on the fritz about it.

I'm now awaiting the day when every meal I attempt to eat finds a place somewhere on my clothing. I'm doomed :)
Ahoy!

Much to my great surprise, the exact URL address I wanted was available :P oh happy day.

I've been pondering starting a new blog since my return from Spain, however, it took this long to come up with a name I found satisfying (I really wish I were joking).

So, without further adieu, this is the official unveiling of my new blog. My hope is to chronicle day-to-day life through my own strange-and-warped view, which you all know far too well. I'll do my best to keep the exhaustingly boring details off the page, but I make no promises. Those of you just joining me in this blogging extravaganza, you're in for quite a ride. Please make sure all trays are tightly secured and your seats are in the upright position as we prepare for lift off.

Stay tuned for the next installment from your one-and-only short and fat diva.
